India's First Sea Plane Project inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi.
This is the First Sea Plane Service in Gujarat, India. This Sea Service is from Sabarmati River Front in Ahmedabad to Statue of Unity in Kevadia.
Gujarat State Government confirmed to start the Project on Oct 31st, 2020.PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate this and which is the Born day of Sardar Vallabha Bai Patel.
Sea Plane is a Powered Fixed-wing Aircraft capable of taking off and landing on Water.
These 'Floating Planes' or 'Seaplanes' have been used for light-duty transportation to takes, small/hilly islands without proper airstrips and other remote areas.
It was used in"World War 2" as it is difficult to build Runways in War Field as their aircraft can land on Water. This Project is undertaken by Spice Jet in a Contract with a French Company. The official said that they will operate a plane that can accommodate 14 passengers.
Seaplanes are beneficial to when it is difficult to build a Runways and There is the availability of Large Lake Water.
